Everyday Kidz Fun Learning

Do you read to your Kids?
New research shows parents are skipping bedtime stories, and experts say it could have a major effect on children. The study found 83 percent of mums and dads with children aged 1-4 years read to them at least once a week, but when kids start school that figure drops to 36 percent.

Exciting New Book!
A Bump in My Road, is a story of a little girl who is not feeling well, is sent to hospital by her doctor and starts her journey very scared of the unknown. This book is written to give sick children strength, to thank all families for their support and hospital staff for their care.

Who we are
Everyday Kidz is a small business with big goals. Rosalind Abbott established EverydayKidz in 2013 in Indonesia. She is a mother, children’s author and a former teacher’s aid from Western Australia – via South Africa.
She’s had a few travels and experiences worth chapters in a book, for sure. Roz and her books have a mission to support and empower parents in the role as their child’s first readers. “We want children to enjoy reading! This is our passion.
Our Vision
Everyday Kidz is a growing community, dedicated to providing parents with excellent resources and information, allowing them to help their children to read more and encouraging them to be the shining, young individuals that they are. Everyday we work towards our vision of a world where every child can enjoy reading and have more confidence to achieve their goals and dreams.
Our Values
Support: We value our readers and do our best to support and guide them through online communication and discussion.
Encouragement: Parents and children to be the best that they can be with what they have right now.
Empowerment: Teaching and sharing ways parents and kids can benefit from the joys of reading.
Giving: Everyday Kidz gives back to the community by supporting fabulous organisations like Variety.
Our Story
Everyday Kidz’ was founded by Rosalind Abbott in early 2013. While writing her first book, “A Pet for Me,” she acknowledged that her own reading challenges were the muse.
During my childhood I had a fear of reading out aloud. When I trained as a Teacher’s Assistant,I came to realise that I wasn’t alone andthat many people have similar fears and experiences.
Now writing part-time while being a busy mum to a toddler, she writes real stories with rhyme and rhythm (and amazing illustrations by Jerry Seltzer that bring the stories alive http://seltzerpop.com).
Supporting Variety, why and how
Everday-Kidz.com is excited to be supporting Variety. This organisation and what it stands for is really close to my heart. The reason I’m writing these books is to help kids who find themselves faced with over whelming challenges to overcome those challenges and be a shining light for others. http://www.variety.org.au/WA/
Variety is national not-for-profit organization, committed to empowering Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or require additional needs to live, laugh and learn. By giving practical equipment, programs and experiences, Variety helps children in need to overcome whatever obstacles they face and live life to the fullest.
